Century Bank of Georgia takes the security of our customer's information and accounts very seriously. The following security measures are in place:
|Secure Communication||Secure Environment|
|Secure Login||Your Password|
Our system ensures that data-exchanged between our computers and your PC is encrypted with 128-bit encryption. Encryption is the translation of data into a secret code that can not be easily understood by unauthorized people and is the most effective way to achieve data security. To ready an encrypted file, you must have access to a secret key or password that enables you to decrypt the code.
Certain browsers have the ability to communicate securely by encrypting the information as it passes across the internet. This method of communication is called Secure Sockets Layers (SSL), which utilizes mathematical formulas to 'encrypt' or hide information on the internet. Century Bank requires the use of a secure browser before you connect to Online Banking.
Your information passes through a "firewall" which is specifically designed to keep out unauthorized users. The firewall controls and limits outside access to the banks’ internal database. Our firewall is setup to block unauthorized traffic so that you can feel confident that your information is secure while banking at Century Bank of Georgia.
During the enrollment process, you are assigned a unique ID and default password. Our Online Banking service will prompt you to change their password upon the first logon. Additionally, Century Bank of Georgia offers our customers a Multi-Factor Authentication solution that builds our customer confidence while conducting online transactions online via the Internet. Multi-factor authentication derives its name from the concept that a customer can be identified by three factors: something he/she knows, something he/she has and something he/she is. Multi-factor authentication uses these factors to identify the customer when conducting financial transactions online.
During setup, you may select from a library of tens of thousands of unique images. When you log onto onto the online banking service, you will be presented with the login page that will prompt you to enter your ID. Only after the correct image is shown and verified should you proceed by entering your password to complete the login.
The combination of your customer ID number and password enables you to be uniquely identified to Century Banks online banking. It is your responsibility to keep your password secure. Your password should not be shared with anyone.
